With so many amazing authors giving me the opportunity to make their book covers, I've decided that I've outgrown the page I had dedicated to covers on my website. I want a place to showcase the creations we've come up with, and think this will be the perfect home to do just that!
In the upcoming days I'll be posting many of the covers I've already completed, and will add to the list as I make more covers.

ReplyDeleteGreat. Love the covers I've seen. Don't know enough yet about doing what you did to do one yet, but you've created a great resource. Can you do a cover without reading the ms? I assume the cover has to reflect the feel of the book as well as any blurb, if not better. Very cool.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Rick! I can definitely make a cover without reading the ms. A lot has to do with capturing the essence of the novel and the genre. From there, it's mainly about creating a cover that will catch a reader's attention.
Cali did a great job with the cover for Spring Fevers and I can't say enough for how great she is to work with. A true professional!

ReplyDeleteI'm pretty new to I.R.I. where I saw you mentioned. I like the looks of your Electric Impulses cover, it could work for either my second or third book in my "Immortal Relations" series (book #2 is now in work). If you will look at my current book cover at: http://www.amazon.com/Immortal-Relations-ebook/dp/B006ZCBT6G (it was done by a local art student - who may be leaving the area) I think I want to keep "Immortal" with blood dripping on the bottom and "Relations" underneath. A sub-title, perhapse "The Family" or "Love & War" would go somewhere under the Main Title, my name, G. D. Ogan would go on the bottom I think...I'd like to know what you think about my ideas for this cover and cost for same. Thanks!
